His hand gripped her chin lightly, leaning in, "Wanna sing for me little bird?" Though it barely got past a brush of lips before a knock resounded throughout the quiet of the room
He shot a hateful look at the door, before stepping down the sound of shifting sheets painfully loud. He was seemingly not bothered by the complete lack of clothes, Beth, on the other hand, had pulled the sheets up as far as they would go to cover him, face bright red.
"What is it?" He barked, unashamedly pulling open the door without care for the unfortunate navigator on the other side.

Beth was positively scarlet, starch white sheet pulled close to her chest, covering it sufficiently. Her eyes widened when the corporal acted like it was nothing, and the redheaded boy's eyes fell on her, before he flushed and looked away.

He seemed to have calmed slightly, seeming to notice the other boy more fully now. "I have people for that, they can surely deal with being two- or three, short." The suggestion was subtle, wouldn't have been noticed if not for the obvious rake of hazel eyes up and down a standard air force issue uniform.

Arms rose to box the flushed redhead in, against the wall. "You sure? Free chance to get off work, have a little fun, even gain some favor from the higher-ups." There was a rather self confident smirk on his face, tongue darting out to lick his lips.
Beth didn't dare move.

"Yes i'm sure!" He said slinking down and out of the Corporal's hold the fastest he could and ran down the hall. "Please report to the bridge as soon as possible!" He yelled as soon as he was far enough to get away.
His body shook all over and he was on the verge of tears. /Annette wouldn't have let that happen so why did you?/
He slowed down and let a tear fall before wiping his eyes. He stood up straight and acted like what he thought was an adult for once before returning back to the bridge.

Beth shifted uncomfortably, biting her lip to keep from yelling at the blonde, who seemed perplexed by the very idea of being turned down.
"Hey, that's my job," was his protest at turning around, seeing her teeth worrying at her lip. With a flash he had crossed the room, taking over the job he claimed was his, before pulling away with a wink. "I might as well go, feel free to hang around, that redhead was cute, maybe I can try and score some points with him."
The hollow feeling he gave her probably wasn't normal.

"Finely? What is the status of the commander?" The same higherup from before, a man with tall stature, saluted Harvey and awaited a response.
"He shall be joining us soon sir!" Harvey saluted back, released his salute and returned to his chair. He stared at the maps and the gears whirling in the pressure and altitude measuring instruments in front of him.

I had to have been less than ten minutes before the door swung open, and a (dressed?!?!) Varus stepped through, somehow even more intimidating while wearing- well, clothes. He didn't make eye contact with Harvey, acting for all the world as though the events of a few minutes earlier hadn't happened.

/You're supposed to be a soldier. Soldiers aren't scared of people like him./
But Harvey was scared, very, very scared. He wished he could just have his sister there to help him, to guide him. He wasn't so good at that by himself.
But she seemed to help even when she wasn't around. Sitting on his desk was an envelope decorated with his name in a black ink. He decided to open the letter and read it to avoid any interaction with the Corporal now at the helm of the ship.

Hello,well how do I explain this, but your sister has asked me to inform you of recent events. If you were unaware already, she was in the crash of the Hera which left her alive just with,a sort of loss. She is currently positioned on the Maelstrom... / Harvey smiled, that means once they landed in an hour, he would get to see her. He continued reading.
/She would like to tell you that she is fine and theres no need to worry, but a wound to her stomach has left her not in the best of shape. Im sorry, the person who did it is currently in prison so theres no need for either of us to worry about him right now. She would like to say as well that she misses you and would like to see you as soon as possible.

The blonde and his red coat were currently focused on one of the Navigators currently punching in coordinates- continuing to ignore him. Until he turned around, that was, and his eyes hovered over Harvey's a moment too long. "Hey there Knockout," was his nonchalant greeting, before turning, infuriatingly, to a different person asking him for clarification on something or other.
