"No, that was unprofessional of me, It must be the blood loss." He muttered, putting a hand up to cover his mouth, only blushing harder at her comment, "And- well, it's good to see you made it out in relatively one piece."

"Yeah, more like two." She said smiling a bit at his words. She felt her face warm a little bit but was not entirely sure why.
Riley muttered something to himself and she turned a questioning look to him. He looked back like he had said nothing.

"You alright Mr. Riley?" His good eye darted to the other man, narrowing sligtly.

"Why wouldn't I be?" He said still darker then usual. Something was definitely under his skin.

"Because you've been acting like a petulent child ever since you walked in the doorway."

Indeed he had been, but wasn't that just a little too much? Annette looked at the Corporal pleading for him to stop. Riley turned red.
"Because she woke up asking where you were..."
Annette's head flung toward him with confusion. Was he Jealous? Her face turned red like everyone else's in the room as she realized he had just said a very private thing that made her look like a love sick puppy. Plus she didn't love him, she just had a sort of respect for him.

"Oh, that's cute, you were jealous? Sorry kid, but I'm kind of otherwise occupied." He leered at the kid, finding this amazingly funny.

Rileys face lit up even farther. Annette didn't even know a face could get that red. Instead of running, he looked at Annette.
"Then he must not have time for you."
"Stop it." She said furiously. "Its unprofessional to act in in this way."
He stared back at her. Then bolted out of the door.
She looked at the bed-ridden Corporal. "Im sorry, he's usually not this stupid."

"It's amusing, I wouldn't mind if he was, but I hope he isn't like that with other men, they might not find it funny." He opened his mouth to comment further before the nurse approached, herding the redhead out of the room, muttering that the Corporal needed rest so he was able to stand up to "it" upon return, whatever that meant.

"Why are people so infuriating." She huffed, walking back to her room. All of this so fast had made her rather tired, not to mention her head was spinning. Really fast, Annette felt her vision fade again. Just as soon as she got in her door, she collapsed.

The nurse woke him early enough in the morning to remove his bandages and change them with fresh ones, and sending him out with orders not to push himself, and to sit down as often as he could. He lagged in the halway waiting for the redhead's arrival, though he was itching to just run ahead to see the bab Oliver.

Annette awoke to a nurse staring at her from the other side of the room.
"I'm sorry miss, but we are going to have to keep you lying down for a few days, you reopened your would by falling down and it would be best if you stayed put." She smiled before exiting the room.
"Well that sucks." She said before sinking back down into her covers.

After an extended time, she had yet to appear, and he refused to wait any longer, trying not to run to the room he was to meet him in, an excited dog seeing it's master after a day of work. The door swung open and the dark haired frenchman looked up from his desk. "Varus," he noted, motioning for him to colme closer, the blonde closed the door and did so, seating himself, muted green eyes wide. "Evidence suggests the ship was crashed purposely, you wouldn't happen to have anything to do with that, would you?"
"Yes, sir, I was reliably informed that there was a silencing plot, we were not near enough to get a wire to Paris-"
"Who was this reliable source?"
"..."
"Varus."
"Myself, sir, everything suggested it- the bookcase had 3 copies of 'The Last Brigade', Oliver tell me it's not weird."
"I assumed you had died, it's difficult to focus on work with the idea of a friend in danger on your mind."
"It won't happen again."
"Come over here you git."
(Time lapse)
"Finely~" A deceptively sweet voice came floating in from by the door, "Finely they won't let me in unless you wake up and say so." He knocked against the wooden door again, "I brought dead plants."

"Come in." she said lifting herself to sit up properly. Her shoulder had gotten more bruised and gnarly than before, and this was clearly visible as they wouldn't let her wear a shirt with sleeves.

"What did you do?" He motioned to her shoulder, leaving the flowers on her nightstand. There was a flush on his cheeks that hadn't been there the day before, and he seemed to be sitting straighter, talking faster, and showing more emotion than he had since she first met him. She had been told who he'd be meeting with, he knew that, and he assumed she'd been restricted to her bed due to the brusing.
