Esther launched herself into his bed and sat patiently waiting for him to surprise her with whatever this was.

"I um... I," His face flushed a sort of red as he began to take off the manylayers of his military uniform, leaving onlyy his single white buttoned shirt from exposing his entire self to the world. He began to unbutton the shirt revealing just about to his diaphragm. Between the slit in the fabric black markings could be seen on his skin, the same writing she had written on him the first night he had his nightmares around her. Her handwriting, more defined and definately more permanant with her words etched into his skin, and a small cresent moon right next to it, both directly over his heart. "I got this after you wrote it... I just- it meant a lot and..."

She was shocked at first then very pleased. Esther stood up from the bed, walked over to him, and lightly traced the words with a finger. She traced the words then threw her arms around burying her head into the crook of his neck blinking back tears, "You're too damn sweet Everette."
She placed a finger under his chin and kissed him lightly at first. She conveyed all her happiness through that kiss, "I have a confession Everette. I won't know what to do when you leave." Esther whispered her eyes were starting to sting.

"Keep working here," He said , having to go rather far on his toes to hug her like he usually had. He felt his own eyes well up with a wet blurriness he had hated quite a lot. "Or something... just please don't go far."

"I have to though, sooner than I expected." He understood he was to be fulfilling his dream, but he didn't expect starting such would be so sad. He felt as if a weight had been placed on his heart at the thought if leaving her.

She gently dragged him over to the bed where they snuggled for the rest of the day.

During one of the long hours they sat, Everett had decided to steal himself a pen from his desk, and doodle where she thought it would be nice. She supposed having pen all over her arms might bring unnecessary attemtion, so the next best place happened to be her legs. High on the outside of her thigh Everett began to very carefully draw just a small figure, seeing as he was never very good at drawing. The small sun stained in black ink contrasted against her light skin, and Everett stopped, content with his work.

Esther lightly nudged him away to look at the drawing. She was quite content to find a sun on her thigh. "She shuffled through a drawer nearby finding a piece of paper she slammed it against the sun before the ink dried catching the exact pattern on the paper in excess ink. "This my dear is being hung among my blueprints." Esther happily declared lightly tossing the paper back onto the table temporarily.

"Goddamnit you shit come here I wanna kiss you." She playfully linked their fingers, and tugged him closer. She threw her arms around his neck running her fingers through his hair and kissed him lightly. She could feel him smiling into the kiss and nothing made her quite as happy as when he did that.
