"I-i" Everett had no idea what to say, his face had gone a slight pink that could hardly be seen in the ever dimming light. The only person he had cared about outside of his family referred to him as her 'home'. If Everett could compile all of his strange emotions he had in that moment he would have had to say he now knew what love was like, and it was fantastic.
But something in the back of his head told him what to do, and he gently placed his hands on either side of her face, thumbs tracing her jawline. He did something very, very improper that was not to be done in a park, to an unmarried woman. He slowly kissed her, as the moons light began to illuminate the dim glow of the set sun.
If anyone was his home, it was her, and she was his moon. His beautiful silver light that lit up his lost nights. She had been the one to drag him out of the dark hole he had been left with in the past two years. His beautiful, mysterious, perfect, moon.

She hummed in appreciation at how delicately Everette treated her.
"You my sweet young man are very naughty for your age." Esther managed to slip out the words between giving Everette butterfly kisses, "Doing all this kissing to an unmarried woman how unproper of you? What will they say?" She feigned surprise gasping quietly, and dramatically throwing her hand in front of her mouth.
She could feel her eyes sparkling in the moonlight threading her fingers through Everette's hair pretending to be cross with him. She pouted slightly like a very angry kitten, "This poor woman must feel so scandalous too stealing kisses from an unmarried man why she's practically a menace! A deviant she is. Why I've heard that she's been wearing dresses that show her ankles can you believe that?" Esther declared like a gossiping housewife to Everette curious to see if he played along, and curious to see if he would simply brush off the comment regarding her ankles (considering she had none), or simply make a joke of it and continue on with their cherade. She dearly hoped he would play along.

"My, my such nerve." He exclaimed in his most proper voice, too proper for daily use, and laughed a little at her. He loved she could make jokes about such a thing, and he loved her smile. "Such scandal could only bring trouble to this town."
That was a phrase he had actually heard a grown woman say a few years ago when he was helping grandfather out in the shop. She had some in wearing a rediculous gown so highly decorated he doubted there was any actual skirts under all of the bows and frills. She had asked for a very very fancy watch to be repaired, and sing as it was a fairly easy job, Everett had done it.
The woman had complemented him highly for his work despite the fact that there was just a little bit of sand caught in the gears. He hadn't done much in the shop, seeing as the whole machine thing didn't appeal to him, plus the fact that he had a specific goal he was working for. A goal he had sworn to achieve.
Ethers eyes sparkled in the soft white light from the almost full moon,as if the entire sky of stars had placed themselves in her possession. He smiled at her softly as their laughter died down, a sort of complete smile it seemed he only had for her.

Esther laughed maniacally throwing her head backwards and smiling at the stars. Esther gently played with his fingers between hers.
"What would you say if I told you that more than anything in the world I wanted to walk." Edther asked quietly lying down on the blanket hands still interlaced with Everette's.

"1d say I will do anything to help you get there." He spoke quietly, with soft words filled with truth. He lay next to her, lightly squeezing her hand, and looked at her as she looked at the stars. "What sort of way were you thinking of?"

"I want to make legs." Esther declared, "God I'll have to learn how to walk. It'll be so weird being like you people with your legs."

Everett laughed at her remark. He then pictured a very pretty Esther with brand new legs stumbling around like a tiny toddler also new to the whole walking thing. "I do imagine it would be just a little difficult. "

"They're going to be so beautiful my new legs. Hopefully we will get the proportions right on the first go. I'de hate to have to redo them." Esther said wistfully twirling small locks of her hair between her fingers like she was daydreaming. "God I'm so excited think of all the things I could do once I learn how to walk."

"Unfortunately for you I am quite content as I am." Esther said happily she pretended to think for a moment. "Although there is one thing." Esther said turning towards Everette. He looked at her sadly like he wasn't enough. She wasn't having any of that she yanked on his tie bringing his face to hers, and kissed him, "Now I am truly content."

"Tell me." Edther demanded. She didn't ask a question or make a request. It was a cold hard demand like the dark look in her eyes. She wanted him to like her not how she looked.

Esther immediately perked up at that but then remembered something very important, "Everette sweetheart, I have no legs."

"Who said you needed legs?" He said standing up and them kneeling down next to her. He gestured his hands to her, as if asking for a hug. "Come on."
