"At least I'd keep you warm." He said making sure she was situated in his arms, then taking off on a path oUT of the clearing and around the lake. He laughed as her grip on him tensed a little, and continued to bound swiftly around the park.

It was only a couple of seconds before she was screeching, and laughing with glee. She periodically tightened her arms around his neck nervous that he would drop her.
He never did.

He stopped after around 10 minutes of running and laughing to a fast bearing heart and a small amount of physical exhaustion. He sat down back in their clearing with the girl sitting on his lap, her body able to feel his heart beat. Everett liked the sound of people's hearts, it relaxed him, let him know he was not alone.

Esther lightly snuggled into everette happy that he was warm. Esther always found herself cold. Her hands were always cold. She put gloves on they were cold. She wore long sleeves that covered her hands they were still cold. But God Everette was warm all the time. You could shove him in a freezer and all the ice would melt.
"How the hell are you always so warm?" Edther whispered.

"How the hell are you so cold?"He replied, pressing her further against his body. She felt like ice, almost like her body was a walking corpse, almost scary. The pressing of the two bodies let Everett feel the beat of her heart and his mind was set at ease.
"If you get too cold we can always go back." He said feeling a chilled breeze on the back of his neck.

"I'm always this cold." Esther declared, "but sometimes being warm is nice for a change. We don't have to go back. Unless you think it would be a good idea. It is getting a little late." Esther absentmindedly said playing with the buttons on Everette's coat.

"I'm sure grandfather is at least a little concerned." He said placing a kiss on her forehead, and lifting her up into his arms again. "If you'd like me to carry you back I wouldn't mind."
