"So be it then." He said lightly kissing her, as I'd waiting for an invitation to enter further. He was vaugely aware of her past, and the last thing he'd want to do is scare her.

Esther gently grabbed Everette by the chin, "Everette of I hadnt wanted you to do anything you would've known by now." Esther declared in a whispy tone to him. Hoping those words provided the comfort he needed. She was only willing to take as much as he gave. It felt selfish to take more.

Everett's heart may have jumped a mile and a half away from him, and the fast beat seemed like it could have been heard at the same distance. He took this invitation of hers with a detailed expedition of every corner of her mouth. He took the hand not supporting her to match his height and placed it on the back of her head, fingers lacing in her dark hair.

She wrapped her arms around Everette's neck pulling him flush to her. She quietly grumbled in the back of her throat appreciating all the kisses Everette had given her that nobody else could have. She had decided those were her most prized possessions. Nobody else had to know that they had exchanged many many kisses bathed in moonlight under a large tree in the local park. Nobody else needed to know. That was one of the first memories that Esther treasured as truly hers. She wanted many more like these, and she hoped from now on Everette was in all of them.

He pulled back from her after quite a few minutes of locked lips and lightly traced his thumb on her jaw. If he had a choice, he would never leave this lake with her beautiful face lit with the light from the moon reflecting on the slowly rippling water. Yet the night was slipping away, and he knew that they would have to return to their home sometime.
"We can continue at home?" He asked hopefully, flicking his gaze at her lips then back to her very pretty eyes.

"I have every intention of doing such." Esther declared happily lightly brushing fingers over Everette's slightly swollen lips. Esther gathered up her skirt in a more secure fashion so that Ecerette wouldn't trip on it.
"Foward my mighty steed." Esther dramatically changed her accebt and pointed towards the sky

Everett neighed and winnied as he started a steady trot out of the small clearing and into the open moonlight. He jumped over small holes and stones much to the amusement of the very pretty girl. He slowed down as they re-entered the city streets, his guard up as shadows flickered from the dim streetlights.

She heard the sound first. A slight ruffling of clothes flapping in the wind from behind her. It made her uncomfortable. She looked back. Nobody was there. She felt eyes upon her though. She felt a stare burning into the nape of her neck. She didn't appreciate it.

Everett felt her grip on his neck stiffen slightly, and he slowly stopped, peering around. He listened intently at the noises around him, and focused in on a slow raspy breath. He spun carefully around as to not drop Esther and shot a glance in the direction of the breath.
A man in tattered clothes with dirt and grime spread all about him slowly approached, with a glint in his eye that told Everett of coming danger.
"Such a pretty girl you have there." The ratty mans hungry voice stained the quiet of the street. Everett's own muscles prepared themselves to act as the man slowly approached. "I'd love to take her off your hands."
"I'd keep yourself at a distance, sir." He said almost pleasantly, not a hint of anger showing in his voice or body. He whispered quietly so only Esther could hear, "Please hold on tight."
He felt her grip on him tighten as he reached into his jacket like he was retrieving a watch or letter.
"I'd watch your tounge." The man grumbled ever approaching, stumbling forward with arms ready to grab him. A grungy hand reached forward quickly but halted at the Impact of the flat end of a blade pressed against the man's neck.
"Let's not get anyone hurt shall we?"

Esther was disinclined to admit that she was frightened. She was though. She was shaking. Not for her but for Everette. She didn't want him to get hurt. They had so much to look forward too.
"Ultimately, I believe that is up to you Everette." Esther whispered.

Everett could feel the soft tremble of the girl on his back, and a small spark of anger grew in his heart. With the dull end of the knife still at the man's throat, he quickly pulled his leg around the man, forcing his knees to give out aND dropping him to the ground. The man sat there dazed and seemingly scared until he slowly stood up and backed away. He touched his arm to find a small patch of blood emerging g from a tear in his clothes. The man must have pulled a knife at some point, and Everett swore at himself that he had done something wrong.
"I'm sorry Esther." He said quietly, beginning to walk home again.

"I'll stitch you up at home." Esther was more worried than disappointed. She was a magician with a needle though and knew she could stitch him right up all pretty again.
"Come on you lets go back home this is more adventure than I can handle in a day." Esther said nuzzling her face into Everette's neck lightly.

"I'm so sorry." He whispered as he slowly walked her back, openin the door quietly to the house and just as quietly walking up the stairs. He brought her to her room, and sat her on her bed before quickly sitting next to her, his eyes distant and upset.
